IT fair over e last wkend was a serious damage, kian & i both made very generous contributions to the economy...
Our loot:
kian (for his room) - LG 37" LED tv @ $1,500 (with extended warranty)
jun (for the family) - laptop & netbook for $899, a really good bargain! it was their last min closing deal, buy laptop free netbook! but of course it wasnt those well known brands la!
jun (for her sister) - nokia X6 @ $148 (after $50 voucher)

i was watching this taiwan travel show 世界那么大 n e host was introducing this particular chalet in e mountainous area of france where i realised e true meaning of e word "chalet"... n it's not even an english word to begin with...
jun's definition: a place where u go & stay to relax for a holiday.
wiki's definition: a wooden dwelling with a sloping roof... common in switz & other alpine regions... the term "chalet" stems from arpitan speaking part of switz and originally referred to e hut of a herder.
ok, how did e hut of a herder evolve to become our holiday resort? ha!

kian & i visited universal studios one fri nite to see see look look~~ (fyi: USS hollywood boulevard is open to public every thrus-sun 7pm-10pm for oni $2)
it was our first time @ resort world sentosa since it's opening, but so far nothin has impressed us. USS (49 acres) is really small, even smaller than hk disneyland (55 acres). there are currently oni 4 universal theme parks ard e world - universal hollywood, universal florida, universal japan & universal spore.
we dine @ hardrock cafe after dat, portion of food there is really huge, n quality is good too! they r currently having a promotion of 1-for-1 mains (mon-fri) with dbs/posb cards, so it's a super good deal.
but we din manage to get e deal, cos when we asked e waiter if there's any promotions, he told us none, it was towards e end of our dinner then i heard another waiter telling our neighbouring tables dat there's a 1-for-1 promo. by then it was too late as we've ordered oni a salad & a main (promo is for 2 mains). :(
