there wasnt any electricity at my client's place ytd, so we went skiing instead. it was seriously COLD!!! even wif my thick ski gloves, my hands are still icy cold! but my coach was really sweet to warm my hands by rubbing them in her warm hands:) i tink being a ski coach is a tough job, imagine working in a weather wif a temp of -20degrees all day long, i tink i'll freeze first! one morning when i woke up freezing, i suddenly tot of those mountain climbers, imagine living in the snow, sleeping in their little tents without a heater, ur endurance level really muz be very high.
anyway, skiing was fun, n i tink it's quite easy actually, i din even fall a single time! haha... my coach said i did very well! e sled dogs here are really large, i tink they r twice e size of me! we rode on this motor-ski thingy too, it was designed jus like a motorbike (minus e wheels), wif e helmet, n u can jus drive it ard on the snow.

a few interesting things i noticed abt living in a sub-zero place:

1. once e snow falls on e rds, it'll look like shit, cos one lump one lump black brown in colour.

2. u fall easily as there's little friction btw e shoe & ground, jus imagine walking on ice e whole time.

3. exhaust fumes from the cars pipes is so clearly visible (under a sub-zero temp) that all e cars look like they r breaking down wif so much smoke coming out all ard.

4. i look like i'm smoking when actually i'm jus breathing normally (note: i din even open my mouth), cos there's so much smoke coming out of my nose.

5. shopping turns u off as it's not desirable to step out on e streets (by e way, highest temp today is -16 degrees).

i tink i'm having a condition called cold urticaria, which basically means dat i'm allegic to e cold. i'll always get rashes when i'm in china during the winter season. at first i tot it's due to the thermal wear, which deprives my skin from breathing, until i mentioned it to my colleagues & they told me it's cold rash.

i went to goggle abt it & wat happens is when cold air/water/etc touches the skin, the blood vessels in the skin constrict, reducing oxygen in the skin. In reaction to the low oxygen, the body produces a chemical reaction to produce an inflammatory agent into the area. The inflammation reaction causes bumps similiar to goose bumps to occur and a vasodilation of the blood vessels bring more blood and oxygen into the area. The skin looks red and bumpy and may feel warm to the touch.

ya, so after blaming my thermal wear for e past 2yrs, i finally found e truth today! haha... but of course i'll make a visit to e doctor when i'm back in spore to cfm it. apparently there's medicine for this condition...

ok, i'm finally at 长春 after 12 hrs of flight (including transit)... temp was minus 10 degrees when i stepped out of e airport, snow everywhere on e roads...

kian taught me how to access blogger through www.vtunnel.com, dat's y i can still blog while in china! china actually blocked all mass media websites like blogger, facebook, youtube, etc as they dun wan their ppl to use them as an avenue to comment on negative stuffs abt china... haha... but my bf is smart!

anyway, a brief intro to e place i'm currently at...
长春 is e capital & largest city of Jilin province, located in e northeast of china. it's very "high" up in china actually, near harbin, dat's y e temp here is sub-zero and can go as low as -30degrees. my client says will bring us snow skiing, dunno how will it be like.

& e top muz watch show on kian's list is:

the number 1 show in hk for the year, ratings beat 宫心计 totally & won lotsa awards including best actor & actress. kian keep asking me to watch, but i haven get down to it yet, shall watch it when i'm bored in 长春...
