ok, i'm seeing F1 now!!! no joke, i'm really seeing e cars racing (practice session) & hearing their motors vrooming as i'm typing this entry!!! oh man, this is so exciting! i'm sitting at this strategic place beside e window & out i look is e esplanade F1 race track! so cool...

this is my window! too bad i dun hav a camera wif me, can oni make do wif my phone's camera, but u can still see e mini race cars if u look carefully! *hee*

new phone!
kian has been askin me to get a new phone for ages when my contract ended mths ago! he feels dat it's a waste to jus continue wif my plan w/o getting a new handset. so when he gets his samsung omnia at e comex fair, we've been targeting its baby (samsung tocco aka F480) to release its pink version for me! hehe... ya, i wan a pink phone!
when e baby really launches its pink version last wkend, i immediately fell in luv wif it after seeing e handset at M1 paragon. however, e selling price of $348 is quite steep to me so i din buy it on e spot. e clever jun went back to do some research & tada~~ she manages to save herself $100 & got e phone for oni $248!!! haha... when it comes to money saving, ms alicia ang will nv fail!

celebrated wz's bdae at fisherman's wharf ytd. as joyce is still working her european hrs, we planned to eat at e indonesian restaurant at clarke quay so dat she can get back to her work after dinner. however things din go as plan cos apparantly e indonesian restaurant has closed down? is renovatin? disappeared?!?!? anyway we walked e whole stretch of riverview pt & there's no sight of it! haha.... 
e 4 best frenz: bdae gal weizhi, joyce, maine & me!
it was a good chatting & gossiping session again, wif us concluding dat we've been right abt something all along. wonder how will mr X blend wif our guys! haha... looking fwd to our oct session!

i suddenly hav this idea of doing reviews on clinics, which pops up when i realised e amt of doctors i've seen. ok, thou utilising my full 14 days of MC per yr is one of my personal KPI, but i dun fake illness. migrain, gastric, cramps and eye irritation are all part of my list of long term uncurable illness. my colleagues like to ask me how do i bluff e doctor, but seriously i dun fake them, they r all real. dat's y i can so naturally describe e symtoms to e doctor.
ok, dat's not e pt, i'm supposed to do a review. i discovered there's actually 3 types of doctors. after u've told him wat's wrong, he'll either:
1) prescribe some medicines & nothin else (in this case, i come out of e room not knowing wat's wrong wif me!)
2) continue to ask u further ques, measure ur blood pressure, temp, check here check there (in this case, i come out of e room knowing wat's wrong wif me!)
3) ratter a "model ans from e textbook" diagnose (in this case, i come out of e room wif a wrong diagnose! eg. getting vomitting pills for gastric jus bcos e txtbk says dat gastric can lead to vomitting?!?!?)
anyway e clinic below my office is very good, dr bains... i'll prefer them to parkway shenton.

Our IPO team held a little farewell for melissa, one of our senior, at Timbre (sub-station) last fri. it was a nice gathering...... we had beer, pizza, listened to live band, & even sabo angeline to go on e stage! haha...

anyway, back to melissa's farewell, dun worry, she's not leaving cos work is too xiong here, she's oni taking a break. i'm so gonna miss her, i like her so much! thou she looks cool cool, like an ice queen, but after working wif her, u'll realised dat she's really nice & warm... & she's super zai too!

saw lotsa familiar faces from e other big 3 on dat day, like qiaojia, wanjun, tanny, chunchen, candice, sabrina, etc... EY sent 2 teams, thou we din win, but we had fun & dat's all it matters! e whole team went swensen after e competition for a celebration lunch sponsored by EY! hehe... :)

i was browsing thru flowerpod when i came across this forum talking abt petite gals. oh man, it feels like i've found my soulmates! there's even a gal who came up wif a blog for women wearing XXS size. nobody will ever understand our woes unless u r in our league. talking abt petite, it's not jus skinny, but most imptly, short! i'm talking abt those in e lower 1.5m range. it gets worse when we become working adults, as u can see, no working wear comes in XXS size! it's seriously difficult to find working clothes dat fits me, as i cant even wear G2000 size 0! getting a jacket/blazer is even worse, as everything sorta hangs over me & i look like a kid wearing my mum's clothes. clothes designer oso tends to think dat XS=small chest i really dunno y......
lotsa ppl will always tell me i can go to e kids' section to buy clothes, cheaper somemore! i dunno how many of them seriously think dat it's feasible or r they jus joking, cos in case u din notice, kids' clothes dun cater in ur boobs/butt, comes in CANDY PINK, & obviously e designs r not for working wear!
i sorta agreed wif wat e petite gal wrote on her blog, when u've a small frame, young & female, u tend to be relegated to the back seat. psychologically, you feel small too! of course, like wat maine says, u can be small but mighty, but dat's provided u've got e mighty look & not a kiddy face like me! come to think of it, maybe dat's y i've such a loud voice, it's e oni thing dat can make my presence be felt! haha...
ok, now dat i got a list of all e shops dat sell clothes dat (maybe) can fit me, i shall go cover area this wkend! *hee*

i took an interest in Qin Shi Huang (秦始皇) today & went to do some research abt him. maine says i'm mad, but actually i've long been interested in him ever since i visited his terracotta (Bing Ma Yong). i mean, among all e emperors of China, most of e impressive stuffs r all done by him like a constuction of e Great Wall of China, outlawing Confucianism and buried many of its scholars alive, banning and burning all books, building of the terracotta & most imptly his unification of China.
despite his powerfulness, Qin Shi Huang actually oni rule for a mere 10 yrs & die of swollowing mecury pills made by his court scientists & doctors meant to make him immortal. apparently e scientists during dat era din noe dat mercury is poisonous!
anyway, i think China history is really interesting... maybe i shd research on a dynasty each day! haha...
