Aust trip day 14 - Blue Mountains, katoomba
we set off for katoomba early in e morning at 7 am so as to reach e blue mountains as early as possible. our budget hotel was really nice to prepare a travel set breakfast for us.
train ride from e sydney central station to katoomba was abt 1.5 hrs & i sorta slept all e way! lol!
me sleeping wif all our luggages ard me! haha... looks cramped right?
but kian is enjoying himself jus opp me lor!
yeah! we finally reached katoomba! after checking in to our hostel, we proceeded to explore e area!
leura, a beautiful little town jus nx to katoomba~~ wif lotsa unique little shops~~
there's this candy shop dat sells all kinds of interesting & weird candies & chocolates. look at kian busy stocking up!
bygone beauty, a teapot museum dat houses e world's largest private collection of teapots. it's oso an emporium filled wif antiques & collectables, gifts, old furnitures, jewellery & miniatures.
this is our nice little hostel in e blue mountains. it's really homely & comfy! e rooms r so nicely decorated dat u feel like u r living in ur own house! haha...
& ya, maine is right, piglet is e most well-travelled pig in e world! haha...

Listed under the World Heritage Area, they are a range of sandstone geological structures that reach to at least 1,190m. The Blue Mountains are not, as the name suggests, a range of mountains but rather a plateau with rugged eroded gorges. However, e whole area is indeed a misty blue & thus e name.
yeah! we finally reached katoomba! after checking in to our hostel, we proceeded to explore e area!echo point, home of the three sisters, one of blue mountains' most famous sights~~
e 3 sisters r called Meehni, Wimlah, and Gunnedoo. there's a legend that says that e three sisters fell in love with three men from a neighbouring tribe, but marriage was forbidden by tribal law. Battle ensued, and the sisters were turned to stone by an elder to protect them, but he was killed in the fighting and no one else could turn them back.
there's a lot of trails all ard e region for u to hike & they r seperated into easy, intermediate & hard. e area was really beautiful & senic... good for trekking too!
