got a new tutee today, a sec4 gal, teaching her emaths & combi sci, living at punggol(jus opp where KJ stay, which is oso kian's uncle blk i think). after talking to her, realised dat she's actually a 20 yr old taking her ) levels this yr as a private candidate wif a private sch. originally she used to be a sec 5 normal aced gal, but as her N levels cmi, she cant move on to the O levels & her principal dun allow her to stay back for another yr. so she dropped out of sch, went to ITE to take some secreterial courses & went to work. after all these yrs in the society, she realised dat she cant get very far without even an O levels cert, so at 20 she decide to go back to sch again. now here comes the strange thing... she's a very weak student but she oni wan tuition once a wk, 1 hr every lesson. y leh? bcoz she got no $$ to pay tuition fee... i dun understand y her parents dun wan to pay for her(she pay me out of her own pocket $$). i can see dat her family is no where near poor, living in a flat in punggol, wif a 32 inch tv is definitely not poor at all! so y? i finally conclude dat some parents jus dun care abt their kids at all...
