Day 2 of Alicia's PA
Was outstationed to Sanyo at upper thomson industrial area to audit their accounts. The building was quite an impressive one, having won the ‘Best Design Building’ award. Looks very posh & high class on the outside(like those CBD buildings), dat’s y we(Yingyi & Andrew) all commented dat it’s so off for it to be built in an industrial area.
Andrew & I did the ‘other notes’ category, with me auditing the receipts & purchase while he audit the sales & payments. Sanyo used the SAP software, so it’s very different as compared to Ming Fung where we hav to keep flipping the general ledger books, accounts books, etc. Things r made much easier & efficient as we r given the printed computarised copies of GL, bank statements, etc. However, due to my cmi AA101, it took me a while to learn dat I hav to look at the debit side for receipts & credit side for pmt from the GL, then vouched to the respective vouches accordingly. I learned a few audit terms oso, like casting=addition…
Lunch was quite bad coz there is simply no food centre or canteen ard & to walk out to the nearest bus-stop is quite a distance. So we asked ard & discover dat there is a small eatery at the 4th level of another industrial building within walking distance. To my disappointment, there’s basically oni 2 stalls there, one Chinese & one malay! Sob… I hav to survive on these for quite sometime liao… n the Chinese stall’s cai fan is DIY one, so u basically scooped ur own rice & take ur own dishes… really wonder how they charged the $$! But overall still ok lah, can still survived… haha…
